General

What is Synergy?

Synergy is a SaaS pass-through API middleware that connects your systems without code. It transforms data between JSON, XML, and JDF formats, making it easy to integrate REST APIs, SOAP services, and print industry equipment.

Who is Synergy for?

Synergy is perfect for businesses that need to connect different systems: print shops integrating MIS with equipment, e-commerce companies syncing orders between platforms, healthcare providers converting between data formats, and any business looking to automate data transformation.

Do I need to write code?

No! Synergy's visual pipeline builder lets you create data transformations without writing code. However, if you prefer, you can also use our comprehensive REST API to build custom integrations.

Pricing & Billing

Is there a free trial?

Yes! All new accounts get a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required to start.

What happens after my trial ends?

After your 14-day trial, you'll need to select a plan to continue using Synergy. Your data will be preserved for 30 days if you don't upgrade, giving you time to decide.

Can I change plans later?

Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

What if I exceed my plan limits?

We use usage-based pricing for overages. Storage costs $0.05/GB/month and API calls cost $0.50 per 1,000 calls. You'll be notified before any overage charges.

Do you offer annual billing?

Yes! Annual billing saves you 20%. Pro is $1,910/year and Business is $5,750/year.

Features & Capabilities

What file types do you support?

We support images (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, PSD), PDFs, fonts (TTF, OTF), and vectors (AI, EPS, SVG). Maximum file size is 500 MB per file.

What metadata do you extract?

For images: dimensions, DPI, color space (RGB/CMYK), ICC profile, transparency. For PDFs: page count, dimensions, fonts, color space, PDF/X compliance. For fonts: family, weight, style, glyph count.

Can I modify files?

No. Synergy is designed for metadata extraction and data transformation, not file modification. Files are immutable once uploaded.

What data formats do pipelines support?

Pipelines can transform between JSON (REST APIs), XML (SOAP services), and JDF/JMF (print industry standard). We handle parsing, validation, field mapping, and format conversion.

Can I cache API responses?

Yes! Pipelines include caching blocks that store responses with configurable TTL (time-to-live). This reduces API calls and improves performance.

Security & Compliance

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. We use Cloudflare R2 for storage with workspace isolation. API keys are hashed with SHA-256 and passwords with bcrypt.

Where is my data stored?

Files are stored in Cloudflare R2 (S3-compatible) with zero egress fees. Metadata is stored in PostgreSQL. Both are hosted on secure infrastructure with automatic backups.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. You can delete individual assets or your entire workspace at any time. Deletions are permanent and cannot be recovered.

Do you have an SLA?

Yes. All plans include a 99.9% uptime SLA. Enterprise plans can negotiate custom SLAs with dedicated support.

Technical

What's your API rate limit?

Global rate limit is 500 requests per minute per API key. Individual pipeline endpoints can have custom rate limits.

Do you have webhooks?

Yes! Pipelines can send webhook notifications when processing completes. You can also use the send_notification block to trigger custom webhooks.

Can I use Synergy in production?

Yes! Synergy is production-ready with automatic scaling, health checks, and monitoring. We're deployed on Railway with PostgreSQL and Redis.

Do you have SDKs?

Not yet, but our REST API is well-documented with examples in multiple languages. SDKs for Node.js, Python, and PHP are on our roadmap.

Support

How do I get support?

Pro plans include email support with 24-hour response time. Business plans get priority support with 4-hour response. Enterprise plans include dedicated support with custom SLAs.

Do you offer onboarding?

Business and Enterprise plans include onboarding assistance. We'll help you set up your first pipelines and integrate with your systems.

Can you build custom integrations?

Yes! Business and Enterprise plans can request custom integrations. Contact us to discuss your needs.
